His sire 9X CH Honky Tonk Attitude needs no introduction in the bird dog world. He was a 9X CH with 4 National Championships in NBHA field trials. He was best known for his bird finding ability and breath taking style on point. Gunner's bottom side is full of NSTRA champion history. His dam 7X CH Sawyer's Little Jewel was sired by 17X CH Burchel's Dutchman. Dutch was a direct son of 25X CH Crow's Little Joe. The Honky Tonk Attitude/ Crow's Little Joe bloodlines are hard to beat for the discriminating hunter and top NSTRA competitors.
Gunner hunts with a high cracking tail and has a tremendous nose, great style and intensity on his birds and is a natural retriever. This dog will retrieve anything you put in front of him wheather it has wings or not. Gunner also has a very pleasing personality and has a great handle in the field. He is passing all these traits to his offspring and has produced tremendous bird finders.His pups have hunted all over the country on many types of upland birds including Italy, Canada and Mexico.
